OPHTHALMIC FRAME WARRANTY

All of our ophthalmic frames, (with the exception of the exceptions, of course- ie. discontinued product, value package frames and sunglasses frames (most with a 1 year manufacturers warranty),  frames purchased but lenses mounted elsewhere, et al.) come with a 2 year manufacturer’s defect warranty.  This means, if, within 2 years of purchasing your glasses, the finish starts to come off the frame, the spring hinge breaks or say the wire around the lens breaks at a solder point, we will do our part in getting it replaced for you.  Now, if your little sister is mad at you and rips off one of your frame’s arms, or that cute little puppy of yours finds he likes the taste of European plastics, are hands will be tied as far as helping out with a warranty.  Remember, we are your advocates;  we are the middle man/woman between you and the manufacturer and  we will do our best at supporting you and our products you purchase from us.

OPHTHALMIC LENS WARRANTY

The majority of the lenses leaving our office will have a 2 year manufacturer’s defect warranty.  A good rule of thumb is this:  If you’ve purchased lenses with a scratch and anti-reflection coating on them, you will have a 2 year warranty against fine cleaning scratches and coating defects.   If you are one of “those” who seem to be able to scratch a lens without even touching it, let us know!  There have been recent advancements in the make up of some coatings which make them much more resistant to those annoying little hairline scratches that start to mar your vision.
